The Overland Campaign of 1864 includes the battles of The Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House, North Anna River, and Cold Harbor. For the first time, General Ulysses S. Grant faces Robert E. Lee. Grant attacks, attacks, and attacks in a relentless campaign resulting in 60,000 union casualties. Robert E. Lee fights a brilliant defensive campaign, but it is not enough.
